Knowing(Nicolas Cage movie)

Howdy partners! I'm back for another review! This time of a relatively new movie, well, about a year old I guess..  AAAAAnywaaays, I do not like Mr. Cage, to be honest, I think he is just aweful.  I use to like him, but his movies just got worse and worse and worse, and then I saw his Japanese "Pachinko" commercials and that sent me over the breaking point.  Guess what? This movie is no exception! The movie starts off kind of interesting, enough to pull me in that is. The beginning is a flashback of a little girl and she is told to write a letter or draw a picture to put in a time capsule that would be burried and opened in ten years, the girl writes a full page of random numbers and then continues writing them anywhere she can, kinda weird but whatever...  So next it fast forwards to the same school ten years later where Nicolas' character is watching his son in the reopening ceremony of the capsule, in which his son gets the random numbers.  But instead of looking and giving it back, the boy is intrigued by it and tucks it away which leads to his father discovering the numbers arent so random but are infact the dates of all the worlds random disasters, pretty much ever.  Good plot right? I thought so, got me sucked in and I had hopes this would be Nick's career turn-around role! Well, I was wrong, this movie just becomes a steaming pile of..... something unpleasent, aaaall in the last sayyyy, 30 minutes? mmhm. trumendous turn around! You really had me going there Nicky! Good one! I'm not going to ruin the ending in case someone reading this intends to watch it anyways but the twist is the big thing that got me, thats all I'll say... So! If I were to rate this like some big-shot critic who actually thinks he knows what hes talking about(but doesnt) I think I would have to give this 2 PACHINKO'S out of 5!

Kingdom Hearts

Hey everyone, I havent wrote a blog in a few weeks so I'm back at it! Today I'm going to review a Play Station 2 game that is an unexpected masterpiece.  Of course, I'm talking about Kingdom Hearts! Kingdom Hearts is about the weirdest combination of just about anything ever, it fuses the awesome aspects of Square Enix's Final Fantasy series with the goofy, carefry characters of Disney! Whoda thunk it'd be so gosh darn fun!? Kingdom Hearts revolves around the journey of Sora, a young boy who lives on an island removed from all other life, and no one on the island has ever left. Sora has a dream to leave Destiny Island with his best friends Riku and Kyri and explore the sea in search of....well, anything! After an unexpected series of events, Sora is named the "Keyblade Master" and is sent through a portal into another world in search of Riku and Kyri who have now gone missing.  In the new world Sora soon meets Goofy and Donald, King Mickeys's closest friends and associates and together they fight the heart stealing "Heartless" across many Disney movie worlds restoring peace and investigating each world for clues to where Riku, Kyri and Mickey have gone to.  Kingdom Hearts is a compelling game with great characters, super fun gameplay, a compelling and heart-felt story and a unique colourful artstyle I enjoyed alot.  As you can tell, I like this game, I couldnt find a downside besides the sappy "friendship and love conquors all" theme, but it suits the game well. Even the music is good and that doesnt usually matter for me.. I recommend this game to anyone that is a fan of Disney, Final Fantasy, or any RPG's in general, it's worht your while! If I were a stuck up, snobby, jerk of a critic I'd give this a rating out of 5 stars, but I'm not! So I'll rate it out of 5 goofy Sora smiles! This game gets 4 goofy smiles out of 5, it could have been better, but not by much and there isnt anything in particular I could point out.

Dexter Season 1

I am back, now, I am going to review my first Television series! So why not start with MY current personal Favourite, Dexter! Okay, to make this VERY clear, this is NOT the cartoon Dexter's Laboratory, because I KNOW at least one of you guys is thinkin' that! Dexter is a fantastic series about a man named Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter annalyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, played by Michael C. Hall. The twist is, Dexter moonlights as a seriel killer. I wont spill much about the plot, but show is filled with very clever dark humour that will make you laugh and feel bad about it.  Dexter Season 1 is about Dexter's life as a seriel killer and during the day, working for the Miami P.D. trying to catch another local seriel killer known only as the IceTruck Killer.  When I say this show is good, I mean GOOD. And all everyone thats even seen just one episode knows exactly what I'm talking about, this show combines everything you need to make the perfect show; comdey, action, suspense, horror, romance and sex. Its got E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.  I genuinely cannot think of a single bad thing to say about it besides that it is NOT for the faint of heart.  Bit by bit I will review the other seasons but the big thing I'm saying is, if you havent already, watch this show.  I used to watch it alone, now I watch it with my whole family and constantly discuss it with friends, I mean, I love talking about this kind of thing with people, but rarely do they like talking back, so just the fact alone that i spend hours talking with some of my friends about it is impressive, to me at least.  I'm sure I come off as rambling when I talk about it but that is just because I truly respect and adore this show above and beyon allll others I watch.  So please, watch this show, I beg of you, you will not regret it.  If I were to give this series a traditional rating out of 5, Dexter season 1 would get an easy 5 dismembered corpses out of 5.

Silent Hill

I am back for another mindblowingly astounding review!!! Excited yet? Yeah, me neither heheh. Okay, today I'm going to go ahead and review another older game, today I'm going to review a classic of the horror genre, Silent Hill for the Playstation.  This game is about a man named Harry Mason, who wakes up in his wrecked car on the side of a mountain road, and his search for his missing daughter Cheryl that was in the car with him before the crash. If you watch the start screen movie, you can actually see the crash and its cause being the shadow of a small girl in the middle of the road causing Harry to swerve out of the way.   Ok, now to the actual game.  Alright, lets start with the horrific controls.  Probably the worst I've ever dealt with, but, its the same as most horror games back then, like Resident Evil 2 and such.  Kay, once you get used to or at least a hang of the control system you can focus on the storyline that really doesnt pic up until about half way through the game.(By the way, this game really isnt very long so dont expect to waste your life away playing it..) I'll admit with this game, better graphics would have helped because the creatures were supposed to scare yme but I could never tell what any of em were supposed to be in the first place. So there would be sayyyy, zombie nurse, zombie boy, zombie cougar dog, pink bird thing and assorted unneccessarily large animals.  Now to the puzzles, oh the puzzles, these puzzles are nearly impossible without help!for nearly EVERY one I found myself googleing it cause there wasnt even a hint of what to do!... OH, also the V.O. is really random and bad. But I've complained enough about the game for this review, I should probably try and think of some pros.. Well, although I havent played the others yet, I've heard this game lead to many really excellent horror games, so thats a pro.. Also, its a really interesting plotline they used and has never been used before this game. Brownie points for creativity. Uhm, there IS replayability, although I've only witnessed the one ending, there are multiple depending on descissions you make throughout. Decent character models and I will give it graphic points, I dont WANT to, but for the time, the graphics were pretty good, cant compare them to nowadays, that just aint faire. Also, people who are fans of this game, I'm sorry if I affended your precious childhood game, but I'm not a fan, I do enjoy horror games, and I very much so plan to play this games sequels with no expectations lowered, but for this one I just could NOT get passed the choppy story, terrible and random boss battles, the fact that if you dont do EVERY little thing and go every single place at the right moments, you can actually just skip over big plot points.  Okay, DONE.  If I were to give this game a traditional rating out of 5.. hmmm... I would give Silent Hill 2 Cougar Dogs out of 5, the extra point only for the assumption that its sequels are as outstanding as I have heard. This has been another KKRealms review and I really hope I didnt sound like one of those snoody reviewers that are alllll over the web now! But these are my honest opinions, and I hope you got something out of them!!

Final Fantasy VII(FTW)

Alrighty everyone, KKRealms is back, this'll be my second review and first Video game review.  I figured I"d start with a game I grew up with and adore. Final FantasyVII(1997). This is one of those reviews I worned you guys about that might be a little bias towards.  Final Fantasy VII is one of the biggest and most well known RPG's ever. Nearly everyone has heard of it and every JRPG fan worth their salt has beaten it, multiple times.  In FF7, you play as Cloud Strife, an ex-ShinRa SOLDIER who at the beginning of the game joins a rebel extremest group  known as AVALANCHE in order to take down his former employer after a series of events that have forced him to become a whiny emo thats super strong, what MORE could you want right!?! I actually love everything about the Cloud, he is just plain awesomeness. I mean, at one point, he actually pulls himself OUT of retardation! How many people can say they could pull THAT off!?!?! This game came out in the late 90's so it was for PlayStation, which, concidering the games play time, is pretty impressive, it had to be put over 3 discs and was totally worth having to climb all the way off of the couch and switch discs twice! Not that any mortal human could beat this game in ONE sit down anyways. Also, besides having an awesome storyline thats never boring, entertaining characters and the ability to race giant yellow ostriches in a casino, this game has a MASSIVE amount of replayability, with all the Materia, Limit Breaks, and equipment you can spend hours trying to obtain, but trust me, sooooooo worth every second! Now on to the cons, this game is dated. I mean, the graphics are horrendous.  So all you graphically needy peeps out there are outta luck, but guess what, SCREW YOU. FF7 is a landmark game that paved the way for alot of really fantastic JRPGS, and saddly, there havent been to many really impressive ones since the 90's so get your fill of the oldies, the graphics wont blow you away, but if it bugs you that much then you dont deserve the experience anyways you PANZY.  If I were to rate this game with a convenstional rating system, Final FantasyVII would get 5 Chocobos out of 5.  Allthough this game is graphically challenged, the games pure depth makes up for it, well, in my opinion that is.  This has been KKRealms and I hope you got something usefull out of my review, I know I enjoyed writing it.

My first blog, dont expect much but here goes

hey readers! however many there may be.. uh, this is my first time so dont judge me alright?! kay, well, I'm KKRealms, and if all goes as planned I'm going to honestly review(well, MY honest opinion) videogames, movies and tv series. I can't promise they wont be a LITTLE bias, but thats life! haha, I hope they at least entertain you if not persuade or disuade you into playing or watching games and or movies, etc.

ALRIGHT. Well, Lets kick it off then, what should my first review be....... How about a classic, I will review "The Shawshank Redemption"(1994) I guess I'll kick this off by saying, I went into this thinkin' I wouldnt enjoy myself, but I was very pleasently surprised. This movie is fantastic.  "The Shawshank Redemption" is a story about Andy Dufresne, played by Tim Robbins, and his time spent in prison for a the murder of his wife and her lover.  The movie is based over many years, and over the years becomes great friends with Red, played by Morgan Freeman(WIN), an entrepreneur of the prisoner veriety. The plot of this movie is basic, but the writer, Steven King, takes it, and makes this simple plot into a gripping masterpiece. Now, after saying all of this, there are some downsides(not many though!), first, the film starts off pretty slow, but holding out is totally worth it. The next thing is, this is one of those movies you tell your friends you could watch over and over, but you deep down you know thats a lie.  Although it is a top notch movie, its one that only needs to be seen once, after that, it could get kinda stale concidering you know exactly whats going to happen.  Excellent movie all in all. If I had to give it a propper score; "The Shawshank Redemtion" would get 4 Rusty Shanks out of 5, the one point only missing for the replay value.

Well there ya have it everyone! My first movie review! tell me what ya think, any form of feedback would be nice, but dont comment just to be a tool, or I WILL find you. And give do something you MAY or very well may NOT like. haha, thanks for reading.
